FTR · Fly the roadster

Flight plan

What's built, what's next, and roughly when. Dates ahead are targets, not promises: each step ships when it works.

  1. · Day 3174 · Done

    Demo on the pad

One daily course to Mars orbit, three power-ups, stitched run patches, copilot lines created with Grok, X sign-in and today's board.

  2. Target

    Soft launch

The first pilots arrive from X. We watch how far people fly, fix what breaks, and tune the course.

  3. Target

    Open to everyone

The daily course and the board go public, with a new course every day the real car stays in orbit.

  4. Target November 2026

    The road act

Runs start on the ground. Hop a row of traffic on the thrusters, hit the ramp, then climb to orbit.

  5. Target November 2026

    Scores the server checks

Every run is replayed on the server before it reaches the board, so the top spot has to be flown.

  6. Target November 2026

Weekly board and the pilot billboard

A weekly board, and the week's top three pilots stitched onto billboards that everyone flies past.

  7. Decision on

    The $FTRG decision

Whether $FTRG launches depends on three weeks of play numbers and a legal review. If it does, it buys paint jobs, thruster trails and patches, and burns for one-run power-ups that count on the daily board, which marks runs that used one. Playing stays free. How it would work.

  8. Later

    Catch the real roadster

A rare ending: fly far enough on the right day and you reach the 2018 car at its real distance from Earth.
